Overview of Educational Programs

At Sindh Singhar Schools, we believe in a holistic education that goes beyond conventional teaching and learning. Our schools serve as platforms that foster elementary education, general awareness, discipline, and harmony. Our primary educational program takes students from a beginner level to grade 5 in four years, after which they transition to an appropriate high school. Our approach combines traditional classroom teaching, blended learning through digital platforms, rigorous assessments, parental engagement and extracurricular programs.

Curriculum and Teaching Methodology

The cornerstone of our teaching methodology is empathy and regard for students and villagers. The medium of instruction is Urdu, and the curriculum adheres to the guidelines of the Sindh TextBook Board. We enhance this with additional learning material including self-corrective worksheets, storybooks in English, Urdu, and Sindhi and android tablets with gamified self-learning applications. Monthly tests and a summative year-end exam are conducted to track students' progress. Monthly parent-teacher meetings are held to communicate the students’ progress.

Continuous teachers professional development at Sindh Singhar Schools ensures us the results that we are looking for.

Extracurricular Activities and Initiatives

Beyond the classroom, we host a range of activities that contribute to the overall development of the children. These include sports days, national day celebrations such as 14th August etc, cultural events such as Eid, Sindh Day etc. These initiatives provide students with opportunities to explore their interests, showcase their talents, and learn in a relaxed, enjoyable environment. We believe in the power of balanced growth and learning.

Impact and Success Stories

One of the biggest and most promising change we see is in the community leaders who are ready to own this initiative and consider it as something that will always continue. Progressively, they are understanding the value of education more and more. They show their commitment by regularly attending to the school needs and joining the weekly online management meeting without fail and with interest.
Sustainability of Sindh Singhar schools along with its quality is one very important objective that we work towards.

Life Away From School and School Community

Beyond the classroom, we host a range of activities that contribute to the overall development of the children. These include sports days, national day celebrations such as 14th August etc, cultural events such as Eid, Sindh Day etc. These initiatives provide students with opportunities to explore their interests, showcase their talents, and learn in a relaxed, enjoyable environment. We believe in the power of balanced growth and learning.

Food and Nutrition

Our food and nutrition initiative commenced as a pilot project on January 1, 2024, initially implemented for one shift at Darya Khan Goth School. The success of this pilot phase facilitated its expansion to the other two shifts at the same school and subsequently to Somanro Goth School. Currently, we provide freshly cooked breakfast to one hundred and sixty children. Each shift appoints one mother who takes on the responsibility of preparing breakfast, contributing to her household income through this employment opportunity.

Educational Resources and Materials

Our learning resources are designed to encourage interactive learning and self learning. Apart from textbooks and self-corrective worksheets, students are exposed to a library of storybooks that fuel their imagination and improve their language skills. Additionally, our classrooms are equipped with android tablets, complete with gamified learning applications. These digital tools help create a lively self learning and engaging learning environment.
